Project Description
At the height of his fame, the Florentine painter Sandro Botticelli was one of the most esteemed and influential artists in Italy. His graceful pictures of the Madonna and Child, his altarpieces and his life-size mythological paintings were immensely popular in his lifetime. In this edition of Discovering Virginia, take a tour of each area of Botticelli’s work through an audio description of the Botticelli exhibit at the Muscarelle Museum in Williamsburg, adapted by Shirley Confino-Rehder and presented by volunteer readers Catie Huennekens and Thomas Cunningham.
